Bringing Your Own Legally Dumped Copy:
To comply with copyright laws, this emulator ships with no commercial Nintendo ROM data.
You can dump your own genuine Pokémon Red Game Boy cartridge using affordable hardware tools such as the Epilogue GB Operator, GBxCart RW, Retrode, or an R4 card on a Nintendo DS.
The emulator automatically recognizes MBC3 + RTC + Battery-backed SRAM, loads existing save files from IndexedDB, and runs the game faithfully from Professor Oak's intro to the Hall of Fame!
Save States & Battery Persistence
When saving in Pokémon Red (START → SAVE), the 32 KB SRAM is automatically stored in your browser's persistent IndexedDB storage so you never lose progress. You can also export the raw .sav file to transfer to mGBA or flash cartridges.
